Savory Bakes
Some of the most delightful dishes of Israeli cuisine fall under what I've called Savory Bakes: Breads and rolls, of course, but also pashtidot—vegetable pies—tarts and quiches, pastries stuffed with meat or cheese and all kinds of vegetables, savory muffins and quick breads. These aren't reserved for brunch, but headline at lunch or dinner too.
